HP Pavilion G7 will not start
I have an HP Pavilion G7 that will not start. The monitor shows:
Failed to start because of a recent hardware or software change.
INFO: The boot selection failed because of a required device is
inaccessible.
I have tried everything including: Pressing F11 key to start recovery,
which does nothing, putting in 1 of 3 recovery disks that I made
when the laptop was new, running the entire diagnostic menu where
everything passed including the hard drive.
It shows: STATUS Oxc000000f. It asks me to put in the Windows
installation disc which I do not have and HP Support says they
no longer have. How do I fix this.
I thought of getting a new hard drive and installing win 7 on it,
but that is last on my list.

Check the BIOS settings to make sure the hard drive is seen and set as the boot drive.

Nothing I did would resolve the issue so I installed a new copy of Win 7 pro. That fixed the computer but
all saved files were lost. I have a question on installing win 7 pro 32 bit. I bought this online. It mentioned
it could be installed more then once. When I first got it I installed it on a 10.1 Laptop. Later I installed
it on the other computer. It took the Key a second time. The CD said for distribution with a new PC, but
it DID NOT SAY OEM. How was I able install it twice??

You could have used bootable linux cd/USB drive to access the hdd and save data to a usb hdd or the like.
Evidently you got a retail version, which when uninstalled can be installed on another computer.

I am not sure what this means or how to do it. For future reference
what materials do I need to do this and how do I do it. I could not
open windows. Can this still be done? What do you mean by:
"bootable linux cd/USB " and how do I get one.
