Radeon HD 6770M Display Adapter Problem
I have a HP Pavilion Laptop, running Windows 7, 64 bit, DV6-6047cl. I bought this computer in 2011. I have been having error problems relating to the display adapter. I went to AMD website & downloaded AMD Driver Autodetect. They suggest I upgrade the display adapter on my computer. I plan to download, but it also mentions the following, "Chipset Drivers are not included in this package. To download, chipset drivers, visit "Chipset Drivers". What does this mean? Do you think I need this?
Your comments would be appreciated.

For laptops, you should go to the manufacturer's site for drivers.

AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver 8.882.2.3000 339.0 MB Sep 11, 2015
AMD/Intel Switchable High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver 8.15.10.2291 79.8 MB Sep 11, 2015
Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver 8.15.10.2291 64.9 MB Sep 11, 2015
It looks like HP did something funky and made "switchable" video cards. I think you'd need to install all 3 sets of drivers.
Chipset drivers are for the main chipset of the motherboard. It's separate from the video card drivers. Your laptop has an Intel chipset, not an AMD.

HP drivers, I believe, are for Windows 10 not Windows 7. Reason: all drivers have been updated in August or September, 2015. I bought this computer in 2011.

All my drivers for the video cards are dated 9/30/2011 that works, which I am getting errors relating to not being able to find the AMD driver. I do not plan to upgrade to Windows 10. My graphics card is unincompatible to use in Windows 10.

You are correct I have Intel chip.
