HP 6500A Plus - garbled text in Windows 7 - Page 2 on Certain Websites
I have an HP Pavilion dv6 laptop and Windows 7 - 64 bit. I am having problems printing on certain websites - not all of them. One website it is only in (1) section and they just changed the page appearance recently. Using the print preview or looking at the 2nd page on the Internet on certain websites the text is garbled and prints out that way. I am seeing the bottom half printed on top half of that page. I have tested using "HP Print and Scan Doctor" and it found no problems.
Recently I upgraded Java - could this be the problem. I wonder if I deleted the print driver and re-install the problem would be gone. Any suggestions?

Why not uninstall Java and re-install the print driver and see what happens you can always re-install Java if you need it. Can't see where this would cause any damage.

I just installed Java update to eliminate another problem on my computer - could not see graphics on (2) websites. I eliminated all the Java installed & re-installed. So I am no further ahead because now I have another problem.

What browser are you using? What sites are you talking about? For some sites, you need to use their print options, not the default browser printing.

I am using Firefox Version 24. Site that most give me problems is the Yahoo Finance. They just revised the page that I have the most problem with at the present time. Under "My Portfolio" I have set up and when I want to print it, I change under my "printer previews" change to 70% & not cut any of the text off. Now in order to print it without having garbled text on page 2, I have to "download" the figures for that section. Also under "More News" on the same page, I have to copy & paste in order to print this offline in Word. Previously this would print without any problems.
Also HP Support site as well, but not as much a problem as Yahoo Finance.

Did you try any other browsers?
When did you upgrade to FF24? Was it working ok with FF23.0.1? Maybe you can downgrade.

It automatically upgrades to a new version of Firefox and Thunderbird. I like your suggestion about downgrading. How do I go about getting that version? The last copy of Firefox I have is version 21.0.
