Computer Hangs When Trying to Change Drive Letter in Disk Management

Ever since I formatted and reinstalled Windows 7 (64-bit) I've been unable to change drive letters through Disk Management. I frequently use SATA drives with BlacX hard drive bays though eSATA and USB, and I often need to change the drive letters if they don't grab the letter they've previously used so that the file paths are the same. I used to do this all the time without any problem, but now when I choose a new drive letter and hit "OK", the cursor turns into the spinning busy icon and it never stops.

It doesn't matter if the drive is hooked up through USB or eSATA.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks.

    Computer Specs:
    Win 7 64-bit
    ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
    16GB DDR3
2x GTX GeForce 560 Ti in SLI
    128GB SSD OS Drive
    2TB Internal Raid 0 Storage

Thank you for the response, dneilson, but I am aware of how to search Google. I was hoping one of the experts on this site could give an opinion based on their experience and knowledge. That's why I posted the question here.

    Thanks.

Did you try changing the drive letters from Safe Mode?

Are there other drives or USB devices connected? If so, disconnect them first.

Found this on the Thermaltake site:
    http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/ttWWW/...6&ID=1731#Tab4

Edit: Those drivers aren't for Win7.

I had no way of knowing you had googled it (most people say what they already tried) or I wouldn't have bothered you with that . Hope someone here can help you,
