12 Infections according to Malware bytes
My computer is running slow, so I ran the Malware bytes program. It found 12 infections. Went to show results to see what the culprit was.
What is
Pup. options. sweetpacks?
Attached is a screen shot of the results.
Seems there's a toolbar somewhere. I did a search for Sweeti and nothing appeared.
What should I be doing?Doc1.pdf
I just went to Control panel>programs to see if the program was there, and sure enough it is: SweetTM Technologies "Sweetpack" but it won't let me uninstall it. Message: The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
BTW, how can I delete all my attachments in this forum. I have the Manage attachments dialog box open, but I can't find delete attachments.

Follow the instructions in the link below:
http://discussions.virtualdr.com/sho...ted-4-28-2013)
Copy and paste your logs. Do not upload them as attachments. Broni will help you get rid of your unwanted infections.

When in manage attachments , on the right side check the attachments you want to remove.
At the bottom right use the dropdown to select delete.

Did you not read the instructions in the link I pasted in my last post? You need to follow instructions from Broni. You need to run the steps and then paste the logs created by the steps in the link.

I found my answer through Google. Your instructions read like a scientific manual and I don't have time to read it.

I used Malwarebytes to remove it -- or so I thought. When I went to control panel there was still a program "Sweetpacks updated Service" and I uninstalled it. However, another progr. IE toolbar 4.8 by Sweetpacks is unable to be removed.

So I'm afraid that without removing the ^^ above, that I will again be infected. It seems this virus or whatever attacks IE, which I no longer use.
I noticed my computer slowing considerably. That was the clue that it had been infected.
More information. Here's a website that might help with removing the toolbar: http://www.pcinfected.com/remove-sweetpacks-toolbar/

That pup garbage hits Firefox too.
Used Broni's tools and cleared out lots of garbage that pup drags in.
Why I recommend following the instructions and posting in that forum.

All is well. I followed instructions to go to Regedit and delete Sweetpacks.
