No internet connectivity after a clean reinstall of Windows 7

I have a Dell XPS 420 Quad Core with 2gb RAM.Originally the machine came with VISTA but I upgraded to Windows 7 several years ago. The computer seemed to be running more slowly and web pages were taking longer to load. I decided to do a reinstall of Windows 7 using my upgrade disc. The reinstall appeared to work. During the setup it recognized my Cisco Valet router and asked for the password. It again appeared to work correctly until I accessed the internet. Even thought I had a very strong signal I could only get the MSN default page to load after a long wait and then I was unable to navigate to any other site.
I tried TCPOptimizer and it offered no improvement.
I'm using Comcast as an ISP with a Motorola DOCSIs modem and the Cisco Valet router. Other PC's I have are connected wirelessly to the router. Previously the Dell XPS was connected the router via ethernet cable but for the last several weeks I have been using the built in WiFi to connect.
As mentioned, I am getting a strong signal from the router, the icon shows I'm connected to the network but getting lousy to no internet service. Obviously much worse than before the reinstall.

I think I have to agree with Broni. I ran Advast, Malware Bytes, & DDS (the logs are posted below) and found no issues according to the scans. I moved the computer so I could have a direct ethernet connection and I do have connectivity now with the hard line. I do have one thing to add that made me think Train was on the right track (unintentional pun). Apparently my Yahoo email had been hacked as my contacts list were getting spam from my account. That made me decide to do the reinstall.
Appreciate any further insight that may be gleaned from the logs.

Web based email accounts are usually hacked at the source (server) and will very rarely involve your computer.

I ran Windows Network diagnostics on the wifi and got the following message:
"Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding"

Reach back and unplug the power from the router, wait 30 seconds and plug the power back in. When fully up, test again.

Rebooted the router and tested. Strong signal on the task bar and shows I'm connected to the network. However, browser loads very slow to not at all.
I re-ran Malware Bytes, Avast, and DDS again. No threats were found (see contents pasted below). I did notice a few things from the ATTACH file. This morning the Windows update did not install. I think they correctly installed later when I rebooted the PC. Also a curious entry at the bottom of the file that says "6/21/2013 8:11:52 AM, Error: NetBT [4321] - The name "WORKGROUP :1d" could not be registered on the interface with IP address 192.168.1.148. The computer with the IP address 192.168.1.140 did not allow the name to be claimed by this computer."
Could this be the cause of my connectivity problems?

I flushed the DNS, disabled Teredo tunneling, and IPv6 (used the regedit for changes to IPv6- I also noticed there was an entry for TCPIP6TUNNEL but edited only the TCPIP entry. Rebooted with the ethernet cable unplugged. Again strong signal, connected to the network but poor web performance. Seemed like I could get the MSN default page to come up a little bit quicker than previous but when attempting to navigate elsewhere I got nothing.
