Those who install this version of Ubuntu, and do not like the Amazon included search feature, can disable-it with the command line sudo apt-get remove unity-lens-shopping .
As for myself, I keep using Slackware.

It can also be disabled in System Settings>Privacy.

It's not the same thing. Doing it your way disable all lenses search results, not only Amazon.

Tried it out. I do like the fact that Unity can be set to autohide. I don't like that I cannot autohide the top taskbar; and that on my netbook it is noticeably slower than when using Fuduntu. Sticking with Fuduntu for my netbook.
