[RESOLVED] penfold
Hi, my 1gb samsung integral pen drive has somehow split itself into two drives,Removable F: 978mb and Removable G: 1.45mb.I don't know how it happened,can anyone tell me how to merge them back into one drive
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1, Intel Core i5-2450M,CPU @2.50GHz
8.0gb RAM,Intel HD Graphic's-Samsung RF511. Thank's

My, but kiss everything on it goodbye.
Use disc management and remove everything.
Remake the partion and format it.

Go to Start>run and type in : diskmgmt.msc and see it it shows that drive to be 2 partitions. If so, I believe from there you can merge them into one partition. Are you sure that 1.45 MB partition wasn't always there? It could contain some documentation.
EDIT: Looks like Train's "Mavis Beacon's Speed Typing" course is paying off.....

G:1.45mb+ F: 978mb are listed in the volume list at top of page in diskmgmt,but in the disk list lower down the page it only list's F:978mb.on it's own no G:
i formated both but i don't know how to merge them,can you tell me in detail how to merge them as i've never used disk management before thank's

When i right click on F: Disc, shrink volume,extend volume and delete volume are all grey'd out ,you can't use these command's.

Just delete both partitions in Disk Management, then you should end up with "Unallocated space" where you can create a new volume.

I dont see any option to delete in disk management,tried right clicking,but delete volume is all that's there and it's grey'd out,can't use it

My computer, R-clcik the stick and select Fomat.
Now select device defaults.

when you say r-click the stick,there are two stick's showing-F:978MB and
G:1.45mb.I tried formating both selecting device default's but still no change

You can try using Easeus to remove/create the partitions. The Home edition is free.

Easeus has no command's to merge the two drives on the pen drive,merge command is only available on my laptop's HD partition's.
It has resize/remove but i'm not sure how to do it with this,i've tried but no change,

You may be able to get rid of the partitions using Diskpart at the Command Prompt. It is a lot more powerful than the graphical version. It is also more dangerous, so be careful with it:
