jusched.exe
Hello.
I keep getting the error that jusched.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. I went to control panel > java > miscelaneous and unchecked java quick start but every time I reboot, it shows up as checked again. Anyone know a way around this?
Thank you, Chuck

Chuckers--I do not know if this setting is independent of the one mentioned by jdc2000, but, afte you make the changes in that reference, run msconfig from a command prompt and then click the Startup tab. Is jusched.exe in the list and is the box to the left checked? If so uncheck it and click Apply and OK. You will be asked when you want to restart. Do so when you are ready.

Hi.
I have already done jdc2000's suggestion. When I get back to the studio, i will check welshjims idea.
Thank you both very much.

To end Java Quick Start go to Start > Run an type in:
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exe" -unregister
(with the quotes)
You may want to rename this file, it's not needed.
However Jusched is Java Update scheduler; it shouldn't give errors unless there is something wrong with your Java installation.
Best thing is to remove Java and download and install again.

I agree that your Java installation is probably corrupt. I would advise uninstalling it, reboot and then install anew.
FYI... the Java update executable jusched.exe is NOT the Java Quick Start service. They are separate features.
