[RESOLVED] padlocked icons?

Hi there

I copied a folder of files to a DVD yesterday and all seemed fine, but looking at the files today (not on the DVD, the originals) they all now have a little gold padlock as part of the icon - every one regardless of file type (there are jpegs, word, excel and publisher files etc.)
They still allow me to open them, update/edit & save them, so nothing lost. Just wondered why?
