    Dell Laptop: Driver Question

I have a Dell XPS laptop. It's new and I'm playing around with it. In looking at their drivers update page, I see that for my specific laptop they show five chipset drivers and seven communication drivers.
How do I know which driver is the correct one to install?

    Search via "service tag"
    Refer to original invoice.
    Search using PCIDatabase.
    Cheers.

Using my specific service tag reveals multiple drivers listed under each driver category. As I wrote above, 5 chipset drivers and 7 communication drivers. I'm baffled by this.
I don't see any reference to specific drivers on the invoice, and I don't know what a PCIDatabase is.

If it is a new laptop, and it's working fine, you shouldn't need to update drivers. Was there a specific reason for wanting to update them?

When I turn on the unit it sends a message that some drivers may need to be updated. But when I go to the driver update page, there are multiple drivers listed under each category.

This new computer is running Windows 7? Where is the message coming from? Does it say which drivers need updating? If it's Windows 7 telling you that, I wouldn't worry about it as long as the computer is running fine.

Dell's come with some pain in the buns "Support Center Software" that monitors drivers etc...I always turn it off
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.
