    Can I leave Bios with CD drive booting?

    Yesterday (see my other thread) I reinstalled XP Pro, finally! I have a couple of questions.
    One regards how my BIOS is set. Can I leave the CD is first boot disk? It's booting up
    fine for almost everything except it won't see my m'board driver disk. It's an Intel 865 PERL
    m'board. That leads me to my second question: I'm having a heck of a time finding the driver for my onboard sound card. The Intel site doesn't seem to respond to my questions.

    You install your motherboard drivers disk from within windows. Is this where it's not reading the disk?

    If you post your motherboard's full model number we can help you a lot easier.

    It won't hurt to have CD first in the boot order, but I put HD first for faster boot times.
