Hi, Broni,

Please check my HT Log file below for any final insts you may have for me.

I'd originally posted "McAfee: Potentially Unwanted Program" in this forum, last entry 12/21/08. McAfee had reported at that time that the Dial-182 file was a potentially unwanted program.

Well, this weekend, the same thing happened, McAfee complained about that Dial thing again. Thanks for the cleanup insts which got me outta trouble yet another occasion. Took a whopping 8 hrs to complete the scans! Over 200k objects scanned by Malewarebyte's Anti-Malware. Guess that's what happens when doing localhost development. Many more files to scan ...

Yes, there were 2 items found by MBAM:

Hmm ... what does that mean? Was my Security Center disabled?

This is a quote from MBAM people:

these are registry keys that can be disabled by either malware (to prevent notification that protection is disabled) or by the user or their legit software to prevent conflicts or duplicate warnings .

If you are seeing these with no other signs of infection then it is far more likely that your 3rd party security software has disabled these warnings to prevent duplicate security warnings and in these cases telling MBAM to ignore them once will forever solve the issue .

The keys themselves tell you exactly what they do :

FirewallDisableNotify -> If set to 1 then do not show windows firewall disabled warnings .

UpdatesDisableNotify -> If set to 1 then do not show the warning indicating that automatic updates are disabled .
