ipaq noob questions
Hello all,
I got given an ipaq for my birthday and I've never had a pocket PC before so not sure how to use them. I managed to browse the net on it last night via my wifi on my BT Home Hub, but now when I try and do it it says 'cannot connect - in order to connect to the Internet you will need to configure a proxy' - does anyone know how I can get a permanent working connection?
Also, can you download new software for the ipaq, like new games for windows etc anywhere?
Many thanks

Just found model - it's an HP iPAQ rx3715
So when searching for downloads, do I search for stuff specific to that model, or just for any ipaq/pocket pc/windows mobile 2003?

Also, how do you install software on it? Copy the exe file to the pocket PC and run from there?
Can you watch YouTube videos on them?
So many questions, sorry!

Ipaq tutorial in power point.

PowerPoint Viewer 2007

Seems there are a few gotchas so I suggest going through the tutorial.
I googled Ipaq tutorial and that was the first link that came up.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...earch&aq=f&oq=
Hope that helps as it seems you can lose everything right quickly.

You cannot install regular windows files on an iPaq because it uses Windows CE as opposed to Windows XP. The easiest way to install a program is to connect the iPaq to your computer through ActiveSync and then install the file through your computer. It will then prompt you to continue the installation on your iPaq.
