[RESOLVED] Firefox opens in wrong monitor
My operating system is Windows XP and I am using 2 monitors.
For the web I use Firefox and it always opened in my main monitor but just lately it has started opening in the other one which I do not want and have to keep dragging it across.
How can I correct this so that it opens in the monitor I want?
Many thanks
wallie

Try this: Open Firefox (one window only). Adjust the size so it is not full-screen. Drag it across to your main monitor. Close Firefox.
When you open Firefox now, it should hopefully remember where it was last located and open there.
If it doesn't remember, repeat the above steps but this time hold down the [Ctrl] key while you click the red [X] at the top-right corner of Firefox.

Nice one, this problem happened to me out of the blue (Firefox 3.0.10) and holding down CTRL fixed it. I wonder if CTRL is a "System Wide" hotkey to force Windows to remember window positions?
(sorry for bumping such an old topic =P)
