[RESOLVED] Nokia PC Suite Install Problem

Hi, when I try to install Nokia PC Suite I get the following messages at the Installation In Progress screen:

Internal Error 2203

C:\WINDOWS\Installer\ba1d8d.msi,
-2147287008

and...


Internal Error 2203

C:\WINDOWS\Installer\74d002.msi,
-2147287008



Followed by this message:

Installation Operation Failed

Fatal Error During Installation




I googled the "2147287008" part and found this page...

I then downloaded the hotfix, restarted my PC & tried again but still no luck.

Any ideas?

I've asked on the Nokia support forum but no replies as yet.

My OS is Windows XP Home (SP3) and I'm trying to install Nokia PC Suite version 7.0.9.2.

Internal Error 2203 indicates that you need to use an Admin Windows User profile to do the install.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I used msconfig to put my PC into diagnostic mode, restarted it and then ran the PC Suite installation and finally got success.

I'm not 100% sure but from the few articles I found on Google last night relating to the 2147287008 error code it appears to be down to another program using one (or more) of the Windows Installer files.
