This is a touchy subject...Posting solutions to bypass passwords on an Open to the Public message board defeats the purpose of passwords
Suggest you search and and google-> Lost Password
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

If you can get into the normally hidden default Admin account, then you can change the passwords of all other accounts from there. The password is what was entered when Windows was first installed (if any). At the Welcome Login Screen hit Ctrl>Alt>Del twice and you'll get a Windows 2000-style login box. Type "Administrator" for the username and whatever password was entered when Windows was first installed (if any). To get to the default Admin account in Home Edition you need to boot into Safe Mode first.
Unfortunately, as Steve says, we cannot help beyond that, as the information on how to crack passwords can be used by the bad guys as well. If you cannot get into the default Admin account then the only information that we can give is to reinstall Windows, as per Microsoft's own policy regarding lost passwords.
Nick.

Password forgotten
That's a good start and I understand the issue of cracking passwords.
There are 3 accounts and the kids can get on theirs..haha on the adults, but they don't have Admin rights so we couldn't go in and change the primary. I was going to format and clean up the machine at some point.
thx

Kids will be told by other kids how to get into the hidden admin, which most folks fail to password and change things.
Made good money straighting up messes kids made because of that happening.
