slow laptop
Please check my log to see if there is anything that can be slowing my laptop down. There seems to be a delay when I click on things and this is very annoying. I have cleaned it all out, ran the usual...spybot, SAS, spywareblaster, threatfire, Ccleaner, virus scan.....AND......everything turns up clean. Oh, I have 5 or 6 profiles on here, but only I use I.E. The others use Firefox and don't seem to have this problem. Could that be relevant?

Nothing malicious there.
You're talking about some delay for the user with IE as default borwser.
What kind of delay? While surfing?

delay
Yes, while surfing. If I click on, lets say, reply, in this forum...it takes a bit to bring up the page. It gets annoying at times, for sure.

Close IE.
Go Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools, and click on Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
Same thing?

How long does it take after you click reply and the page comes up?
Is it consistantly slow each time or are other times faster?
I am in the southeast right now and will be keeping a eye on the forum speeds and this thread.

...Broni and Train....It took about 9 seconds after I hit reply on IE with add ons and about 6 seconds on IE with no add ons. The IE without runs faster, but still not as fast as it should. Thanks or your help.

Posting to check the timing.
About 2 seconds with IE7. But I have a fairly fast cable hookup.
Download Speed: 13002 kbps (1625.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2650 kbps (331.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
I tested to New York at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
I have had some nasty slowdowns on a few dsl connections lately.
See what you get speed wise to New York. It is close to the servers.
