Disabled cookies blocking Hotmail
Is anyone aware of a cure for this message?:
"Your Web browser options are currently set to disable cookies. To use .NET Passport, you must enable cookies."
I work behind a domain and myself and one other have been affected by this, although all users are affected by the same policys. I have scanned all options and overridden automatic cookie handling to allow all first and third party cookies and performed scans using Pandasoft, AD-AWARE and MS Anti-Spy to seemingly temporary success.
I have also tried switching off the firewall to rule out blocking - nada.
I have scanned forums and seen similar threads as yet unsolved..... the fact that at times (seldomly) logon is permitted only deepens the mystery??????

I had this problem too when I used to use Hotmail. I went and added msn.com to the override sites to "always allow".
Tools -> IE Options -> Privacy ->Websites "edit" then just add it. I have always allow 1st party and prompt 3rd party and to allow sessions with IE 6.

I have first party set to allow, third to prompt and always allow session cookies enabled, as did you. I have added both MSN and Hotmail.com to 'allow'..... but still I am blocked.

No good either.
It's really strange, this affected both myself and the other 1 day apart. We can both usually logon once or twice a day or after closing everything and scanning but all subsequent attempts are blocked.

Try dumping all cookies, the try dumping temp internet files.
There is nothing to fear, but life itself.
