    virus scan reveals...

My daughter has run three different virus scan programs on her computer and the results are:

2 trojan horse downloader agent 2.BG
1 trojan horse dropper small 6.BB

She was not able to get rid of them with any of those programs, so what is the next thing to do? I know she used Panda and AVG, but not sure what the third one was.

    Thanks...

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that all of those have been done already. She keeps those all on her computer and has run all of them. So, on to the next step?

Try running the virus scans, AVG or Panda, in safe mode. To get into safe mode hold the F8 key while booting and select safe mode from the list of options that will appear.

To get out of safe mode just reboot.

VirtualDr email notices are not working.
    Check back regularly for responses.

    Next:
    1. Create a new folder named HijackThis in your C:\Program Files folder.
    2. Download Merijn's HijackThis.exe directly into your new C:\Program Files\HijackThis folder.
    3. Close all open programs (such as Internet Explorer, Outlook/Outlook Express, etc.)
    4. Run your C:\Program Files\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe program.
    5. Post the resultant HijackThis Log file into a reply to this thread
Note: After your post your HijackThis log I'll move this thread into our HijackThis Logfiles forum so one of our HijackThis Log file specialist will see it (and hopefully be willing to help).
