Sony Vaio PCG-F430 6GB HD problem
I need to find out the bios hard drive settings, ie cylinders, sectors heads etc.
The BIOS settings have been messed with and the hard drive cannot be seen.
Currently i can find little info anywhere. Does anyone eithe rhave them or know a web site where they are listed

Hi Bob the is a definite probability that this is severely grave. The first thing I would try is to reset the BIOS defaults, should be a option within the BIOS for this. If the drive still isn't detected within the BIOS you'll have to clear CMOS by either a jumper setting or removing the CMOS battery. If the Hard drive still isn't detected the drive maybe defective.
