Exclamation Invalid Partition Table on 20 Gig.

I recently put Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 3 on a Maxtor 20 gig 5400 rpm hard drive. I formatted it and now I can't boot from a Windows 98SE boot disk. When I start my computer, it says Operating system not found. Then I hit spacebar and it says Invalid Partition Table. How can I fix that??

Cause if I fix that problem, I will be able to boot from a 98 boot disk.

The contents of the hard drive should have no effect on the bootdisk

are you actually trying to read the C: drive after booting from the floppy?

Because if you formatted the hd using the NTFS file system... you can't

    Delpart.exe

    Download to a floppy.
Boot with a normal bootdisk, no cdrom support needed.
When it is at the A:\
Remove the bootdisk and insert the Delpart floppy
After the floppy light goes out
type in; delpart and hit enter
The gui will open and you will see a partition highlighted.
Hit the delete key and then hit enter.
    Repeat for each partition
    when all are remove
Hit Alt-F arrow down to exit and hit enter.
    reboot

Yes it will wipe out XP, nt and Linux partitions. What I use it for.

WARNING...WIPE OUT will remove ALL data from the Hard Drive
