Question I can only get secure internet now?

For some reason I can only get secure internet connections, that includes messenger and my msn.com email. It will not connect to any regular sites...
I would greatly appreciate any and all help with this

Could be that http port 80 is being blocked somehow. First temporarily bypass your firewall and see if that does it and then have a look in internet options>connections>LAN settings and see if there's been an http proxy added.... uncheck "use a proxy server....".

Do you have another browser installed that you can test out? Also try pinging a website by opening command prompt

    start>run> [type] cmd....

then in the command prompt/dos window

    [type] ping www.yahoo.com [enter]

and see if you get a response.

It's a small step, it means the computer can reach the site via it's own networking apps and it's not a system problem..

how about the proxy settings... did you check those?
Did you temp bypass the firewall to see if that worked?
