Solved. In trying to get it to work some days ago, I altered too many settings. Having corrected that, both accounts are doing what they should.

You are right in that they are probably larger as I use Cntl-Scroll to enlarge the on-screen display. So there is probably a point that 8 point is very tiny!!!
