I finally found an audio controller driver. I found it on Softpedia. I had to fight off a few Driver Updaters etc. as they tried to make me DL their product.

I have this old PC that I picked up to play with & cannot find a couple of drivers for it .
The PC is a HP Compaq dc-7100. It originally had Windows XP & one of the missing drivers is the audio....

I just want to mention that I finally got rid of "windows.old"
I had been using the anti-virus program "Avast" & it did the job..........

fink, I cannot seem to get that windows cleanup tool. Every download option on that "howtogeeks" brings up a program called "Wave Browser" it seems to have control on all downloads..........

Actually I run CCleaner very seldom. Once in a while I will run it to clear registry clutter + also the custom clean.
