U can upgrade but remember that W2K is more a Pro OS; it's not designed for games use...
Perhaps consider a dual-boot?
W2K is more demanding on RAM quality; NT almost the same; '98 less so...

In an ideal world you would have a smallish C: active Primary partition on HD-1 (Master), an Extended partition (with at least twological-drives), and on HD-2 and a decent size Primary on HD-2...
