As mentioned, I'm now thrown to deduce that it's not an Outlook2k (pst file) problem:In other words, what I'm thinking is the problem can't be Outlook if it occurs even without using Outlook at all.

me neither - just troubleshooting.I get "this" problem using "save as" in Outlook2k, so how does doing so avoid the problem?Save As always work via webmail, but not always with O2k.

I'd just add that while troubleshooting I'd suggest running one or more online virus scans to rule that out. ;)
