thelunkerman--In theory you should be able to get the program here--when you register with a serial number.

Another way

Have you tried contacting a dealer?

Hence my problem. I have the remote but no serial number, so the remote is useless unless I pay somebody to come program the thing for me. If anybody has a serial number they can email me, that would be great!
Thanks
Look under the battery. Normally where you find the SN.
Already tried number behind the battery - didn't work. That would be the logical place to put it, but as I understand it the registration number is located in the box, which I don't have anymore. Thanks!
thelunkerman--If you run a Google search for MX 900 Editor, you will find a few, what probably are disreputable, sites that offer this download. Be prepared for malware.
Have you tried contacting the manuf website via the "contact us" link? Perhaps if you explain the situation and maybe even send a pic or a scan of the unit with the numbers that you do have (inside battery compartment) they may help you out.
I had a sandboxed look for some of the links that Welshjim is referring to and any links that may have existed at one time are now dead due to the age of the software (years old).
Also, there are forums that deal with a/v and home theater gear exclusively.. eg- http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/index.php perhaps someone at one of those forums would have more ideas.

Here is a link to the software, I hosted it on google drive
link deleted by moderator fink.
heyspencrb, welcome to VirtualDr :)
This thread is ten years old so there's little chance the original poster would still need a copy of that software. Also as a general rule it's not a good idea to offer, upload or download software from private sources because of the possibility of virus infections. So we'll keep your post and kind offer but delete the link to the program for common safety's sake.
But pls do feel free to stick around and offer help to others in the future.
I'd like a copy of the software please. Just bought a used MX900 and deleted my software when I sold my MX880
Craig32 - did you read all the posts in this thread? Did you notice how old they are?
