I'm getting notifications at bottom right. I don't know where they're coming from (I suspect utorrent) and it wouldn't be a big deal except I often have people looking over my shoulder when I get offers for Cartoon Porn. That's bad enough but I'm dismissing them all day long!
How can I find out where they're coming from and block them?

Settings > Notifications > OFF

That turns off ALL notifications. If there are some you actually want, or if you want to find out where the unwanted notifications are coming from, you can look through the list of applications that can send notifications to get some ideas, and turn off only the unwanted notifications.

Or I could turn them on once a week.
