This is how Apple suggests doing it using a cable to connect the two devices.

And it's essentially what I used to do to transfer files from my desktop to my Android phone (& vice/versa). What I do now and is quicker and easier is use the free version of Dropbox. I installed it on both my pc and my phone, registered both installs and now when I add any file to Dropbox on my phone or my PC I can retrieve it on both devices. It's also available for iphone. You can also just upload the files to your Dropbox cloud account and retrieve it there from the phone without installing anything on the computer.

A third option would be to email the video to yourself if your phone is set up to retrieve emails and the size of the file is within your email providers transfer limits.
