[RESOLVED] screen gets blurry occasionally (odd but true)

I play an online game and it's d2d obviously but the screen blurs out about every 10 to 15 seconds. The machine runs fine but the blurring drives me mad. I have tried different settings, different dpi's (yuck), Tried to recalibrate and even tried somewhat older drivers. What could cause this? This just started and I have no point of reference due to the fact that I did about 14 installs at that time and none of them should have effected graphics in any way.

I also did notice that I am going to have to do clear type because half of this is barely visible.

looking further into it? It happens exactly every 4.6/4.7 seconds. I cannot find anything that tracks it down.

Just noticed. It's only on my primary monitor. (if that makes a difference). It is windows freaking out here.

Try switching monitors to see what happens.

I have duals. The other one is fine. This is a recent thing.

I meant swap them 1<-->2 to see if the issue may be hardware/monitor related.

yeah, it didn't happen when I swapped. One is connected through dvi and the other through hdmi. I did the swap but it didn't make a difference. I did think hardware as well but this card is brand new. (well relatively) It is a 1050 Ti after all.

So when you swapped the connections, the same monitor is still having the issue with the other connection to the video adapter? That would seem to indicate a monitor problem.

it wasn't. It took a while to track down without formatting but I found the problem. Believe it or not? It was a corrupt font.
