Just re-formatted. Browser won't browse.

I just reformatted my Win 7 64 Pro Home and everything has gone smoothly until I tried to browse with I.Explorer. I have Zone Alarm installed, but it's never given me any trouble before. With default settings my broadband (AT&T U-Verse) is connected. I'm using it with my laptop right now.
All I can get is EBay (that is using the reformatted dsktop). Every other page hangs up and says DONE! in lower corner. I've tried turning off
ZA firewall and antivirus. That lets eBay load up but nothing else works. My next step will be to uninstall/reinstall I.E. and see what happens.
Weird. It should work, but doesn't.

I've got it. I needed to install Java. Fortunately I saved a Java install file in my backups on another HD. Whew!

You will want to update Java now that the browser is working.
