So, what do you all think? Do they exist? Have we been visited by them? Have you ever seen a UFO?

I believe life exists elsewhere but I don't believe we've been visited by extraterrestrials.

They HAD to come here. It's the only explanation for Citroëns and Studebakers.:D
Stew dee baker - A baker who partook of the spirits to much :D
Like to have a Golden Hawk.
Exist?!? I think I've been working with one for the last 20 years;)
shotsi:)
I think you need another option.
"I don't believe they exist at all."......period.
OK :) I added that one. Should I change your vote from couldn't care lesss to that one? LOL
anyone else want to change their vote??
The Nazca Lines, as a example, have me curious.
Nazca, the Pyramids/sphynx, Aztec pyramids, Stonehenge are all wonderous and awe inspiring but to suggest things like that are the work of, assisted or inspired by aliens always unfairly underestimates the genious, resourcefulness and dedication of our human ancestors.
It's often been a common fallacy to think that just because modern man is so much more technologically advanced that past civilizations were incapable of amazing architectural, artistic and intellectual feats and simple hard work.
All this is compounded by cash grabbing hucksters like Von Daniken, Art Bell, Richard Hoagland etc who play on our false sense of superiority and their own snake oil to sell us or hype their tales and hoaxes.
Why I sAID "have me curious"!
I know, I wasn't being critical of you I was just trying to start a discussion :)
Why I like the movie Chariots of the Gods. If I remember the name correctly, when I seen it on TV.
That point of yours was brought out many a time during the movie.
Are we tied to time to closely because of our short lives instead of thinking in eons. Ancient middle east history study being done is turning some interesting facts about inventions that were rediscovered centuries later elsewhere in the world.
There must be some extraterrestrial connection to the mysterious, awe-inspiring creations such as that in the link below. These weren't intended just for human observation.

Kang and Kodos obviously :)

Yep :). I don't believe and enjoy arguing against them :DQuote:

I used to very actively participate in a couple of online ufo discussion forums. Back in the late 90's. I was a serious debunker. My favorite topic back then was the cretin/hoaxer/fool named Jonathan Reed who claimed an alien killed his dog while on a hike then he kidnapped it and kept it alive in a freezer in his garage. Way too long to get into details but the story had sooo many holes in it, as if that's a surprise, that a 12 year old could have run rings around his twisted logic. It was an Art Bell exclusive at the time.
Another was a fairly popular online site that had various alleged pics and stories of ufo's. One in particular, I quickly realized, was very obviously a blurry B&W picture of Jupiter. I wrote the sites author to point this out and even sent him the original pic and within 24 hours it was replaced by a blurry pic of a light bulb.
after a couple of years I got tired of arguing with either those that truly believed but were blind to facts or those that maliciously tried to deceive for profit or fame. I left it all behind me despite having made some interesting aquaintances like Seth Shostak of SETI fame, a like-minded prof at Purdue and a couple of others in the ufo field.
I rarely think much about it nowadays except when I read an article like the link above.
If anyone's interested in the Reed story... here it is in great detail...

:). suppose it depends on which way you look at it.
Some people can actually get their hmmmm twisted mind to believe they actually have seen UFO's or hands coming out of walls ect. Personally think it is from smoking to much Wacky Tabacky
Why not also take a poll and see who believes that planet Earth is flat...:p
There are literally hundreds of pilots, policemen( yes, that includes female police officers ), military, intelligence officers, highly trained scientists...those who do not smoke "wacky tabacky"...the list is long....who will testify and affirm and have evidence that extraterrestrials have been visiting earth...and for a long time.
The question is not about "if"....that has been rendered a moot question by anyone who will take an unbiased and open minded look at the volumes of info regarding such and not just fall back on a knee jerk, attack the person type of response. Have the honesty and intelligence to take a serious look at the evidence...the credible evidence...not the obvious hoaxes and dis-information junk that is also out there.
Dr. Edgar Mitchell, the Apollo astronaut, has just, once again, given an interview where he, once again, states that extraterrestrials exist and have been here and that there has been a huge cover-up by the government and NASA to suppress the evidence.
Of course, one can always fall back on the saying..."Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up!"
The problem how I see it is that all the aliens seem to be American :D.
I firmly believe that there is plenty of intelligent life out there - it just doesn't make any sense to me that a very ordinary planet on the outer edge of a very ordinary galaxy should be the only place in the universe to support intelligent life. But I also don't see how the laws of physics will allow interplanetary travel. Certainly not in the kinds of numbers that are being suggested anyway - the same reasoning applies, even if they did crack the problem of interplanetary travel, why flock to this backwater of a planet.
Indeed. Funny about the American remark.. true, never actually thought of that LOL.
Every photo I've seen of an alleged alien or spacecraft is always so blurry it could be anything... in fact it often is anything- anything but.
All I ask for is something verifiable... should be easy nowadays with cellphones, cameras etc everywhere you look.
Yes, there are many, many questions...good questions that need answering.
If I could go back 500 years and tell people that one day they would be able to talk to someone who lived 1000 miles away as though that person was in the same room, or try and explain any of our modern electronic marvels such as t.v., radio, air travel...how about going to the Moon...etc....then I would probably be locked up and considered crazy..talking about stuff that,to them, is just impossible.
To an advanced civilization, our technological knowledge and knowledge of the "laws of physics", the knowledge of which our so-called scientists crow so loudly about, might be considered as backward and archaic as what we consider the technology ( or a complete lack of) the knowledge of those people of 500 years ago.
Why flock to this backwater of a planet? I dunno...good question. We don't know that our planet is a "backwater" planet...it may be important for reasons which we don't know. This planet may be just one among many in this part of our galaxy that has been catalogued and scrutinized.
I, too, wonder about the lack of clear photos; the unmistakeable visual "proof" about ET crafts. But that doesn't "prove" the negative, either.
As I stated before, hundreds of highly competent, credible military, aviation, Intelligence, professional people from all walks of life whose statements and eyewitness accounts must be considered very seriously and examined very seriously should be adequate verification.
People are sentenced to die for a lot less circumstantial evidence and fewer eyewitness accounts than what is available for the discussion of ET's.
I have considered a lot of verbal evidence. I've known people who claim to have seen UFO's and I believe they saw something.
I don't need any more talk. No matter who does it, just talking and telling stories won't convince me. I've heard respectable, intelligent people talk about it for years. It just isn't good enough.
I need clear, scientifically verifiable, unimpeachable, physical evidence. Then I'll believe.
I for one have wondered for years whether this planet was (and is) a cosmic nursery, where the human race was left in isolation to see if it'd survive itself. That could explain the occasional visits from aliens, and maybe the abrupt end to the previous kings of the food chain - the dinosaurs - as well. If we pass the test, we're close enough to rejoin the "grownups"; if we fail, we're far enough removed from anyplace to do too much damage.
