And specifically, you're wanting to stop What?
Thus Spake Zarathustra music for 2001 movie
Guessing you guys are talking about an ad on this site that targets people living in the UK...
those drums are doin my head in !
Oh boy, do I second that
That ad music is just unbearable. I have to shut my sound off to visit here. If you just turn the sound off in the ad it starts again every time you click a link to read a thread.
If I forget to turn the sound off before visiting, it starts blaring out. It is awful
Please get rid of it

If you move to the USA real quickly, you won't hear a thing...
JPnyc mentioned this to the guys "upstairs" from him about complaints on a sister site. Nothing else he can do......
Hmm, well I hope that they do something soon.
It is almost enough to stop me coming here.
I`m sure it must put off all visitors from the UK and we can ill afford that

OK, I think were going to get some action on this.
Right click and select Properties. Then you can copy the url and paste it in.
Anyway should be able to.
Thanks very much for your help JPnyc :)
I really hope they remove it soon

Train
Can`t do that. Right click just gives you Flash Player "Settings"
Elaine
It might be worth trying View, Source to see where the flash (.swf) file is coming from.
Rats on the Flash Player. Irks me too.
JP's idea should wok too.
I routinely surf with flash disabled (actually with ActiveX disabled) because with 30 forums open all the time, that's a potential 60 to 90 flash ads running at one time, which would cripple most any processor. In addition there's no reason to have ActiveX enabled unless you actually require it for a site.

Is there not some way of stopping it?
If not I shall not be visiting this forum very often in future.
The ad is for Microsoft "Really Really Big". There is a very small link to click on to stop the infernal noise, but as soon as you move to a different page the cacophony starts again.
I find that the same ad is on other sites such as javascript.internet com.
Aarrggggghhhhhhh!

I believe it is gone!
It is not there at the moment anyway so I hope it is gone for good.
Thanks for your help JPnyc :)
What a relief!
