Only ran it once. Tried a 2nd run and it crashed my system :(.
I wonder if it used all the ram available for the test and when you ran it again, that happend...
Good score though :)
I have no problems running 3DMark05 though :). Might try again running my card @ 550/550 and my 3500 @ 2600 :D

Everything stock + Vista U.
3D Mark is a lot better, '06, as it's newer it will thrash your rig, '07 is due soon enough too with Vista support and DX10 etc. I meant to make a thread for scores in the gaming forum a while back, as some of our sister sites did it for 3D 01-06 and got over 1000 replies for each....:)

Looks like my CPU saved my score a little bit. Just wait until my 7800GTX arrives.:)

Got an extra 2200 after running the cpu @ 2600 and my card @ 540/540. Only ~ 900 behind your cpu Frank :D.
I played with the card's settings a little (I think I can push it further) and cranked the CPU overclock from 20% to 25%, it's now at 2.5GHz from stock 2.0GHz. Added another 8000 points give or take. Not bad for an old card.:)

Very nice :). I ran mine @ stock and got 68000+ and OC'd as per the above post and only made about 4000 points difference. Should be getting an opty 165 dual core tomorrow that has run prime stable @ 2700+ from a stock 1800. Putting it into this nF3 board until I get a PCI-E gfx card to slot into the DFI nF4 Ultra-D I have sitting here.
Aaah, the things we do when we've run out of hijackthis logs :D
Going to put yours up? :)Quote:

Like that will ever happen.:D I'm waiting on a reply to one as we speak. He forgot to post his online scan results, should be posted any minute now.Quote:

What's your nF3 video slot, a PCI-E or AGP?
I'm blown away by how crazy an OC these dual-cores will take. The temp on this 4000+ is only 4°C higher @ 2.5GHz than it is stock (37° vs. 33°) and only juiced by .025V. I'm going to see if it will do 3.0GHz - slowly - over the next week or so.:) By that time I'll have received my 7800GTX and ......................https://discussions.virtualdr.com/im.../2007/07/3.gif
My nF3 is AGP. You will want to get Prime95, SuperPi and Stress Prime 2004 and such as you start OC'ing.Quote:

That's insane. I gotta try it.:)Quote:

I made a blooper. I meant 50%+ :)Quote:

Latest results with the Opteron 165 installed. GFX card remained on the exact same settings, but the processor seems to have helped with that score too.
I'm a little bummed out. I may finally have bought a dud on eBay. I got the card yesterday and installed it, got three short beeps (sounded like they were from the vidcard) then a long beep from the mobo, then nothing. No POST, no image. When I put the 6800 back in, the 7800 somehow took out my bootloader (GRUB) but I was able to rewrite that OK.
There were two screws missing from the heatsink backplate, so to be safe I disassembled the card, cleaned the GPU and chips, applied new AS5 and reassembled everything tightly, and I replaced the missing screws as well. I put the card in a second time, and got a repeat of the above. Both times I made sure the 6-pin PCI-E connector was attached to the card.
I can always send it to nVidia for repair, it has a lifetime warranty. I just stinks that I'd have to do that. Is there some easy/stupid fix I overlooked, or what?
Only thing I can think is to clear the cmos. Other than that, there is not a lot left that you can do, I don't think :(
Got my latest results running the Opty @ 2500Mhz and the gpu @ 540/540.
85000+
While I get my 7-Series cards straightened out, I bought an 8600GT. What a difference.:) I never realized how much a vidcard could slow down a computer, windows now change in the blink of an eye. Here's my first Aquamark score, no OCing the card yet, the X2 4000 is running at 2.6GHz (+30%).

Very nice :D.
Everytime I try and run the test my screen just remains black with my mouse pointer. I can move my mouse, and if I had music running in the background I could still hear it. When I do Ctrl-Alt-Del something happens in the background but can't see what.
Alt-F4 and Alt-Tab don't do anything. I have to shutdown and restart :(
Any ideas? Tried playing around with the settings in Aquamark but still does the same. The demo works fine.
This is mine with my computer running at factory settings. I haven't gotten around to overclocking it yet. I don't need to.
Specs:
Core 2 Duo E6700
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
2GB Kingston Dual Channel DDR667 DDR2
Sapphire ATi Radeon x1950 Pro 512MB
WD Raptor
Audigy 2
EDIT: Incidentally, I run Windows Vista Ultimate.
Nice. Can't wait to see what I get with the XFX 7900 GT extreme edition now :).
Works for me ... hadn't run that one in a long time!

Catching you lgbpop :). A little more tweaking to do.
