For Maxx or Emachines
I just hooked a friend of mine up with one of these http://www.compgeeks.com/details.asp?invtid=GEN633
I had a 20 dollar off coupon and he ended up getting it for 214 after shipping.....nice machine...I can not build them that cheap https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
But he is a good friend that does not have alot of extra cash and needed a new machine so that is what I suggested for him...he was upgrading from a pentium 133...he was tickled pink......even an emachines can make someone happy every now and then...just kidding for the price this is a heck of a computer.

It warms the cockles of my heart to see another Emachine find a good home. They just need a little love is all. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

Please don't let Maxx work on me anymore...

OK, ok...I suppose for someone with a handheld calculator, an e-machine would be a great upgrade.... https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

Bistro,
Don't get me started on MYST 3 https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
That game is the buggiest piece of garbage I have ever seen. Oh the gameplay, puzzles and such are great, but whoever wrote the coding ought to be strung up by his testicles. Two patches just to get the thing to run and if you have that particular Intel chipset, even with the patches, forget about running in hardware mode. Now the game is freezing at the same spot every time I play it. It's a crucial puzzle, so you can't bypass it. I am playing the game on both machines and the freeze is exactly in the same place. Then they wrote the game to make you travel from world to world, but you have to constantly change discs. Sometimes just to push a button or two and then change discs again. I hope you have better luck with it. I am very disappointed with it. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

MYST 2: Riven
MISSED 3: By a Mile
On the subject of emachines...I went hand to hand with the emachine device manager and the modem. It was touch and go for awhile, but in the end. NO MORE SPLATS!!! And the modem is operational now. WOO-HOO. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

"And here on the left, I'm sure you have noticed maxx's e-machine. We keep it under glass with laser detectors...he doesn't like anyone to touch it. Now...if you will follow me, over here on the right you'll see the shards of what's left of the Myst 3 CD's that maxx threw against the wall..."
