I am posting this so I can see which cookie is storing my login info as each time I visit I must log in again. I am apparently deleting th ecookie that stores this info.
If I do not find what I am looking for I will post back with a question.

Okay, I closed out my browser which automatically clears my TIF folder. I then find one cookie. I kept it.
[email protected] Cookie:[email protected]
I am using IE5.5 sp2 on Win98FE with all service packs.
I opened my browser and I returned to this post. In order to reply I have to login again.
Can anyone tell me how to resolve my problem?
At work it retains the login info (IE5.1sp2) and when I come to the site there are yellow light bulbs next to the forum topics but not on this machine at home.

...Forgot to mention: IE also stores cookies in the TIF folder.

Even with my browser still open I look in my TIF folder and only find one cookie noted in my other post.
To reply to this post I did not have to enter my login info. Got me wondering.

No I do not. I just looked at the text of the cookie and it appears to be in hex code.Quote:

I really thought I had it as all set. It was the cokkie named cgi-bin. When I opened th esite th eyellow light bulbs were showing. (good news). I came to post the results and I had to log in to post (darn).Quote:

I did have the perferences set correctly but I just went through preferences and profiles again just for the exercise and what do you know...all is working correctly know! https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
