Blurry text everywhere in Windows 10

I just did the free upgrade from Windows 8.1. Everything seemed to be going fine other than the usual things you need to adjust to. The first time Windows 10 updated all of the text (icons, web pages, programs, apps, me typing in Word, headings, etc) all seem to be missing pixels and it makes reading difficult. I've searched the web and there was mention of certain updates (KB3013455) causing this problem. It said to uninstall it, which means that a particular security issue remains, and restart the PC. I did so with no result. I've played with "Display" and Personalization" with no change. I reset the "ClearText" and again there is no change.

All print is affected including the headings and menus on the Virtual Dr. page, Facebook, Windows Live Mail and the incoming mail, my bank info, Newspaper headings, etc. Like I said everything in print on my PC.

Any ideas?

If Microsoft helpfully "upgraded" your display driver, you could have this problem. You could try a System Restore to a point before the problem started.

What is the make/model of your monitor? What is your screen resolution set to? Make sure you are using the native resolution of your monitor.

As I said, everything was fine until I received the first updates from for Windows 10. I am using the native resolution for my monitor, I did check that. I've also checked for updated drivers and there are none.

Actually, the "updated" drivers may be your problem. Did you try a System Restore to a time before the updates? Microsoft is not letting you opt out of updates with Windows 10, so when a bad update (like for the display driver) is released, you are out of luck.

System Restore accomplished nothing.

What is the make and model of the Video Adapter you are using in your system?

Have you tried downloading and installing the driver for it from the manufacturer's web site?

Just did it with negative results!!

It is an AMD Radeon HD 7570. I went to the manufacturers site and download the latest drivers with no result. Remember, everything was normal after I installed Windows 10. The problem started 2 days later when the first Updates were installed automatically.

Exactly, which means that the automatic updates are almost certainly to blame for the problem. The trick will be finding out which of them is the culprit.

Check if there was a Windows Update for the video drivers. Uninstall it, and then Hide the Update.

KB3081455 was the last cumulative update for Win10, you can try uninstalling and hiding that also.

I've tried uninstalling KB3081455. The problem seems to be that Windows 10 does not give me the option of selecting or rejecting updates I've uninstalled it twice and both times it was downloaded again during the restart. If someone knows a way around this, I'd appreciate the info. I've found nothing on the Microsoft site (big surprise) or the many Windows 10 forums.

Ah sorry. It's a bit trickier to block updates in Win10. I updated the link in my other post also.

Which version of Win10 are you using? Are you using a wireless connection?
