[Inactive] My computer thinks the CTRL key is being pressed

I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium. I keep getting an error message regarding “my computer thinks the CTRL key is being pressed.” Also, my mouse starts malfunctioning until I do a reboot. Sometimes the reboot won’t solve the problem. I'll uninstall the Razer software to see if anything changes but this seems be a common problem with a Google search.

I did run ESET a number of times over the past week and did find some infected files. The last scans have been clean.

I did install a Razer gaming mouse 2 weeks back my research didn’t show that to be a fix. I’ve tried some other suggested fixes which didn’t work.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Possibly this a virus ESET isn’t catching.

Thanks for the info...I'll follow the steps! I'm on my laptop now as my desk top is acting up and running sluggish especially a boot up and I do have an i7 CPU. I did run 2 ESET scans at once...I'll stop that.

I'll post back on my results.

I ran everything and my PC still acted like the Ctrl key was pressed. My mouse scrolling wheel still min/maxed the text. I ran a full Malawarebytes scan and it detected 3 Trojan viruses. I quarantined them and deleted them. It took 2 reboots but my system now seems to be running fine. I'll try the full pay-for version since they say it works with other AV's.

You're not following my instructions.

OK...

I guess I'll start over with posting the scans. My PC shop said there was a root file that kept rebooting. They supposedly cleaned it. When i got it home it worked fine for a while. Then the screen saver fails and the PC starts acting up again.

This was the log for the GMER scan. The scan ran for quite a while and this log was displayed when I clicked save...it looks short. After my keyboard sits idle for 10 minutes, I can't type on it. The mouse behaves like the Ctrl key is pressed. I use MS Outlook and WORD prompts to open in safe or normal mode.
