[RESOLVED] Forwards to GMAIL Not Getting There

I am forwarding emails to my wife's GMAIL account and they are not all getting there. I am sending them from Outlook 2007 where I receive my Verizon.net mail. When I forward them to my own GAMIL they are all getting there. (puzzling).
The issue may have occurred here. After I set up my wife's GMAIL I installed Windows Live mail so she could get her GMAIL from there so she would not have to log into GMAIL on the web. I found out from Verizon this could be an issue so I uninstalled Windows Live Mail and she will just have to go on the web and log in. Still when I forward the emails to the GMAIL they are not getting there.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

i have a verizon dsl account, i went into the settings on the verizon mail page and set up fowarding there.

not sure what windows live has to do with outlook fowarding to gmail account. or are you saying that you are bouncing the emails from verizon, to gmail, to windows live?

also, sometimes when i set up outlook rules (im assuming this is how you are fowarding) the rule only works on the account that is active (ie-client based rules).

I believe you misunderstood what I was saying. All I am doing is opening up certain emails in Outlook and forwarding them to a GMAIL address. I do want to do any automatic forwarding. The emails I am forwarding are not getting there.
Did Windows Live Mail cause this issue? As I said I have uninstalled WLM now and maybe it left something behind.

Check your wife's Gmail "Spam" (and "Trash") folders for your forwarded messages.

I have already checked those several times and they are not there. It is very strange that some of the emails get there but many do not make it to gmail.

I am very puzzled on this. I am hoping someone has any other ideas.

Unfortunately, Verizon has issues with sending and receiving e-mail that is not from or to another Verizon e-mail account.

If you open Outlook and type a new mail message does it get there?

If she sends you a mail and you rply to it does it get there?

To answer the first question; I have not had and problems with Verizon emails either going out or coming in from any provider in over three years now. I have Fios for my Internet.

Question 2; I have sent a new email from Outlook to the Gmail account in question and it did get there.

Question 3; I sent a new email from the GMAIL account to my Verizon email and it got there fine.

The same emails that I have forwarded to my wife's gmail account (that are not getting there) can be forwarded to my GMAIL account.

Something is not right.

When you forward a mail to the wife - are you using the TO button cause you have her setup as a contact? Or are you using the auto type feature or are you typing her address in?

The first one I sent I used the TO but I typed in the address since I did not have her set up as a contact yet so the auto part was not there yet. On subsequent emails I used the TO and it came up since I then had her in my contacts.

So you can go to CONTACTS and find her which is different then typing the first letter of her address and auto complete filling in her address...

Is the address in the Contacts the same address that auto complete has? One little digit type-o sure might explain this;)

Yes I can find her in Contacts. The address is the same in Contacts as Auto Complete.

Any thoughts on this yet?

Ya...Instead of clicking the foward button - copy and paste the info to a new mail message since you know that works:eek:

Or you could try your luck with Gmail's support department.

I could do that. I forwarded a couple today and they did get there. Strange things going on. I will see what happens in the future.
