Happy Windows 7 Day everyone...... :D
My Windows 7 says Thank You :) :)
It is looking forward to celebrating Maxximilian day :D
LOL.... :D
Be awhile for me. Maybe this winter after Christmas. :)
this os i really like
Just bought my copy of Win 7 Pro today. First time I've ever bought an Upgrade version rather than the Full one. :D
I did that primarily because there is NO WAY in God's little green acre that I will reinstall all of World of Warcraft's patches and expansions. :D :D
You can always go this route.

Spent the whole weekend installing and playing with the home premium version on my main box. Clean install, upgrade advisor had no problems with my hardware/software.
You really don't want to hear 'all' of my feelings on this OS.
In short, imho, those 'intelligent' people at Redmond have done it again!
And by that,I'm speaking of the way they recode to make it even harder
to find and use the simple tweaks that make it easier to use and more user friendly. The only ones they are being friendly to are theirselves and their
'tweedledee' mindsets.
Let me just say I'll definitely be staying with XP-Pro for the (maybe more than) near future.
Too late....Tired to do an upgrade and got the message that I cannot upgrade Vista Ultimate to Win 7 Professional....I have to do the Custom (read: "Clean") install. Not all that bad really...(a lot of people who have a lot of programs on their systems are really griping about it though). Generally it's best to do a clean install anyway when switching to a new OS, even though it is a bit of a pain. I kept a lot of my programs away from my current setup...just basic stuff like Office and some tweaking programs. The ones that'll take a little time will be backing up/reinstalling Itunes and reinstalling World of Warcraft (plus patches and two expansion packs) off of Blizzard's servers.
Looks like I will not be able to take on my role for awhile as...Savior of Azeroth! Defender of Zangarmarsh! Protector of Shattarath City! Grand Poobah of Boise, Idaho! No......wait.....strike that last one....
I am finding it a little difficult to navigate win7.....but considering I skipped Vista.....not surprised that things are "different". Had some trouble getting my XP machine and the win7 to get along on the network....but some of that problem was a pesky firewall.
On the whole....I like the look of win7 and it boots alot faster than my XP machine (I race them). The most important thing....Irfanview will run. If I can't have Irfanview....I quit computing. :D
floats through the thread {Karmic....Karmic...Karmic...}

Maxx...I would recommend getting one of those Visual Tips books for Win 7. They make for a nice quick reference. I like to peruse through them while on the computer just to familiarize myself with new features. Once I fiddle with them once or twice, it makes the learning curve go way down.
No....I don't take crayons and color the pictures.... :D
Tips?
I am thinking about buying Windows 7 For Dummies...... :D
Actually....I am getting the hang of it now. Not too hard..... ;)
