Router suggestions up to $50.00

Well. I'm just gonna have to get a router and do it right!

I have both systems hooked up to my broadband modem...one is thru the ethernet cable and the other is thru the usb. I have had the occasional problem with the usb connection not working...so I'm just gonna get a router and eliminate any more problems.

So...what are your recommendations for under $50.00?

Do you really need the wireless part?
I do not use wireless as I have no need for it and wired is faster.

Might be a good idea to read the reviews for both.

Train...no, I don't really need a wireless. I'm gonna wire the systems initially but I thought if at some point I wanted/needed to go wireless then I would already have the router and wouldn't have to buy another one..."future proofing"...as the popular lingo goes...:p

If you have no need of wireless capabilities,
Then the Airlink101 AR504 was rated well.

Overall performance of the Linksys WRT54G is not in the same league as some of the current wireless routers.
eg. DLink DIR-655.
NB: That is even if you use third party firmware, such as DD WRT and Tomato.

Trying to future proof network equipment is not really effective,
Since technology and costs drops/changes frequently.

The D-Link EBR-2310 is definitely not a rebadged Airlink101 AR504.

Novacomputer is in Canada and you are in the US.
So expect to pay import tax. They are different countries and unless nova has a US brick and mortor outlet. . . . .

Train...I have already paid for the router and there was no mention of any import tax...when does that happen?

I hope that I'm not sounding like an idiot here, but can you clarify for me exactly when I will have to pay the import tax?
