Some GREAT news!!!!!
For all of you here that have taken such a great interest and proactive hand in helping Ana Senarighi, her dad Pete told me seconds ago that they just got the results of the 1st MRI done since chemo treatments began, and the tumor is significantly smaller. The doctor feels that 3 more chemo treatments should kill it. It's rougly "pea-sized" now, according to her dad.
Thank you SO much one and all for your help, it looks like this young girl is going to recover.
We still need to try and raise what we can, since the bill total, always growing, is now over $50,000, but now we have reason for strong hope!
Thanks one and all, JPnyc.

Im echoing Joe on a big thanks to everyone who participated in helping Ana. If we could find another sponser for it we should have another karaoke sing out for some more donations, & get a lot more people to participate this time. Just a thought, this is the best news I have had in awhile. :) BJ

hehe ... we did have fun with the karaoke ... I think John and myself liked it so much we are still singing away over there :D

There are other ways to generate contributions....but they would depend on Jupiter Media's policies regarding transactions and such....
Around here when a family is in need....people might have a bake sale or flea market setup where all proceeds go to the family. In a similar fashion you could have a thread whereby people could offer to sell items like computer components...and all proceeds go to Anna....
For example....if I have a new hard drive I don't need and want to offer it in such a fashion....I would put a price on it (like maybe $30). Then whoever wants to buy it would have to go and donate the $30 to the Ana fund. Then I would ship the item to the person. Sorta like Ebay in miniature....
Not sure it would work....and it would rely on the honor system....but there are lots of ways to get funds flowing. Again...not sure of JM's policies....but you could also raffle off something like a new motherboard. I'm sure someone here knows a small retailer willing to donate a prize in exchange for a blurb on big forum that they donated it. ;)
