Any "backup" software compatible with optical media will typically do this...
Nero BackItUp (my preference), NTI Backup Now, Sonic MyBackup, etc... or is this not what you are driving at?
Most burning programs do just that. But for most of them, you have to enable the verification part.
how about" RecordNow Max" by Veritas Software Corporation.
I have both Nero 5.5.10.26 and Poxio 5.3.5.10 and I can not find anyware on either where I can setup verification
hmmm...
I don't have Nero 5.5 installed any longer, I've upgraded to Nero Ultra 6, which includes BackItUp.
I'll try to reinstall 5.5 on my folks machine this weekend and look through it, just don't remember offhand, but I'll let you know if I find anything constructive.
In Nero 5.5, and it's the same in 6, you'll find the verification check box at the bottom of the Burn dialog that you see during the actual burning process. You don't get it if you do a direct CD copy though, for some reason.
I have installed Nero 6 and I still can not figure out how to make sure that I have the verification option set ...
Are you doing a CD Copy, or are you burning files stored on the hard drive? Because you only get a verification option with the latter.
I don't quick copy on the fly because there are to many changes for mistakes so I'm coping from the hard drive I believe?Quote:

No matter what I try I can not get it to work... Would it be possible to get a step by step process that I could follow :(
What is the problem you are encountering are the files corrupt or is it something else?
The main thing I want is to make sure that the copied disk has all the same files as the disk I'm copping. When some of my disk begin to skip files I try to copy that disk to preserve it!
If the CD your "backing up" contains copyright protection the corruption of some data files is a built in feature of some of these protection devices.
