Calpitor,
Thank you for the "heads up"!!

Just installed the firmware seems to be working just fine. Thanx
Does this upgrade require that the router settings be entered all over again or do changes all take place in the back ground?
Thanks.
All settings have to be re-entered on my BEFSR41 V1. That part stinks!
Thanks Big - Dave. That means I will forego the firmware update. It's just not worth it. The last time I had to re-enter all the settings it took me and my ISP a dozen trys 'til we got it right. Mine ain't broke, I ain't gonna fool with it 'til it is!
You should read the changes made to the firmware, a lot of fixes.

OK. I did it. Version 1.45.11 successfully installed. My settings were undisturbed. I did not need to re-enter any of the router's settings.
---ditto---
all is well.

Yep my settings were left intact as well
Thx Calpitor, I'll be trying the upgrade tonight. Any I've done in the past went well so I expect this one to as well. Thats quite the list of worthwhile changes!
Perhaps this should be a sticky?
Thanks Calpitor! ;)
Easy upgrade, had to re-enter a forwarding setting, but no big deal. Now we'll wait and see how well my new Motorola SB5100 cable modem likes it when it get's here about Friday.:)
Thanks Calpitor!
I gotta say I somewhat surprised how many people around here were/are affected. But then maybe it speaks volumes for the quality and popularity for Linksys. Glad to help.
Done Done. And thanks Calpitor for passing this info along.
