nero is by far the best in my opionion
followed by diskjuggler
Nero, followed by Nero, followed by Nero.
Nero is very good as well.
And then there's Nero :D
Yup, Nero's by far my favorite too :)
Nero is my favorite too, but I have a USB burner that works best with Stomp RecordNow MAX:

I'd download trial versions before buying just to make sure it works for you. I use MusicMatch Jukebox for all my music burning, and it is great for regular music cds and for mp3 cds.

I think most burning programs handle mp3 converting automatically, or allow you to burn them as mp3 cds without converting if you want. Make sure to try Nero's demo too as it has the most features of any trial burning program.
cool thanx i suspected nero was the best but i have heard some bad things about it too so i was just getting the experts' opinions :D
Roxio Easy CD Creator. No problems here, except those I cause. I got NERO on this computer when I bought it, but took it off because I did not like it.
Used ECDC(now Roxio) for several years. Learned fast to keep it updated. It lost me when i received Nero with a new LiteOn burner and Nero came with it. Only downside to Nero for me,is the CD cover program. Not very user friendly.:( ECDC's on the other hand was very easy to use...
if i installed both so i can see which one i like best would there be any conflicts with each other or anything?
Not that i'm aware of, i used to have both installed and they both worked fine with no problems... now i just use Nero, cuz it does all I need and is a much smaller install.
Regards :)
Sorry to disagree, but there was even a time when Nero offered a program that during bootup would offer the choice of which program to use because of major conflicts between the two. XP 'may' handle it better than Win9x, but don't think i'd recommend having both installed. However,,much of this conflict was between the packet writing programs: InCD(Nero) and DirectCd(ECDC). Personally, i wouldn't recommend either of these.do a 'custom' install and opt out of these. I'd think twice before installing both. At least use Ghost or Drive Image and do a backup before...:)
I agree with Ridge, I definitely wouldn't recommend installing both. Certainly Nero expressly recommend that you only have one installed. You can still use Win XP's built-in burner software without any conflicts, though.
Another nice thing about Nero is that they update the software constantly and make them freely available. I first bought Nero 5 in 2000, and I've had dozens of updates since then without having to spend an extra penny. I call that good customer service :)
Ridgerunr, SuperSparks... that's fair enough, I should have made my point more clear :) thx for picking up on it :) i didn't think at all about the packet writing side of things because i never use it myself, i always choose custom install and just install what i need... i agree that u should not install the Packet writing part of both programs as this could (and probably will) cause problems if they both try and start together at boot time...
But the actual CD Mastering programs themselves work fine for me... In the past i've had loads of different CD burning programs installed at once, never had any conflicts between any of them... i make sure none of them are loading at boot time and i wouldn't run the different programs at the same time. To be on the safe side it might be best to reboot when switching to a different program but i never bothered cuz they seemed happy to get along.
I've always thought of it like this... generally for 2 programs to conflict they'd both need to be sharing something that doesn't like being shared... as long as u don't allow them to run together then all should be fine. I have heard of conflicts with older versions of the programs and also heard these issues are not their in recent versions, maybe this is all to do with packet writing which i don't use... at least i've not experienced problems, hence my post saying so.
So to finalise... IMO and experience it's been OK to install more than one burning program just as long as anything that comes with these programs is disabled from loading at boot... but if u'r at all worried about things then don't take my word on it, make a Ghost Image so u have your own safety net just incase.
Regards :)
I won't say this is the best software, but it is sure the best price!

I've been using it on my new XP machine for about two weeks now and it's done everything I asked it to do. Pretty sweet. It's free but we should all send the guy a couple bucks, it's well worth it.
