ActiveX Control
I don't understand why I am getting the following message on certain pages:
---------------------------
Microsoft Internet Explorer
---------------------------
An ActiveX control on this page is not safe.
Your current security settings prohibit running unsafe controls on this page.
As a result, this page may not display as intended.

Hi Bojovan
Maybe this will help.
Go into IE properties, click on privacy and set it to default.

You can find your ActiveX controls here:
Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level

Hi Bojovan
Sorry I couldn't help.
I think the answer lies here:

I have tried everything suggested and still have the problem? The last time I got the notice is when I tried to do a simple task, printing a paypal invoice for a product I sold:confused:

Look where #8 in this link points you and see what setting you have.

I would check this setting under internet, local intranet, trusted sites, and restricted sites.
It should usually only be disabled under the restricted sites.

This did not help. I also can not print my shipping labels for UPS. This is becoming a big pain... Thanks for any help...

Just a thought... Would it matter that I have my system setup with a wireless network so I can run my notebook from other local locations?

Try to goto a website you are having trouble with using your wireless notebook. If it works, then you are having a problem only with the other pc.
Just curious but could you post a couple of url's of the websites you are having trouble with?
Have you tried going to add/remove programs and running the IE repair option? Cannot hurt to try it.
I would also try resetting all settings under the Security tab in Tools-Internet Options to their Default settings. Close the browser and reopen and see if you can get to the websites you are having trouble with.

My notebook did the same thing, running xp Home. The last sites I got the message from were eBay and paypal, both were secure sites. I sure wish I could solve this problem:confused:

Are you using a wireless router with a built in switch? If so, what brand and model.
Also did this problem start before you added the wireless stuff or were you already having problems with it?
What kind of connection? Cable, DSL, Dialup?
If Cable of DSL did you do any tweaking in the registry or with program to try and speed up your internet connection?

Hi bojovan - it might help if we can see whats running when you boot - go here and download and run a scan with Hijack This. Dont make any changes, just click on Save Log, copy it and post it back in this thread.
