Now about your post 2-3 entries back. There are several questions that I have to raise but I don't rightly know how to properly phrase them so as to avoid looking totally like an ignoramus. Think I will take my time and really decide about proving the burned DI backup I did on 10/30. A couple of ignorant questions now though--I have those 2 floppies for DI and have had them since day one but then you say to image C: to logical. Is the E drive the logical drive? Don't LOL!!
Yes it is!
Your second paragraph raises a lot of flags in my mind and I will just wait to try to formulate meanings to what you say there.
Somewhat the same for this paragraph:
Now if you want to get C:\ back up to date, you can image the Logical back to the C:\ and there you have it. Also, a good time to learn to use the floppies, because if it will not boot to windows, guess what you need.
I'd wait like I said for a couple weeks to wipe the old C:\
When and why would I be have wiped the C:\?
When ever you restore a image or clone, the first thing it does is format the partition, then install what ever is on the cds in your case. Now a few days have past and any new email you have recieved since then, documents made, programs you may have installed will not be there. That is the reason I said to image C:\ to E:\ before you did anything. Then try the cds.
And after all of that is finished and you check it out, yes what ever work, installs that you did after that 10/30 date will be missing. Now you have two ways to get it. The easiest way is to restore the image from E:\
Questions and more questions. How do you know all these things?
Ever hear of the school of hard knocks? :D
You gotta have the right mentality for this kind of thing to be able to learn it, retain it and then most importantly be able to convey that knowledge to someone like me. I am very impressed!! Compliments, you betcha that is what I have done with those words.
I thank you for the kind words. ;)
