It can be interesting navigating them after 6 or 8 but usually I'm fine. The days when I'd occasionally wake up in my clothes are long behind me. After a certain age the body just says "the heck with YOU bud!" and just rebels.
Snow - I'd have to drive about 6 hours south in Winter to find snow.
We're about 1/3 into winter here in Sydney and today is a Fine and mostly Sunny 18c - probably as warm as the average UK summer day LOL
They have no summer in the UK. They have winter, and July.
:p This poor old body rebelled on me a long time ago!! A glass of wine now and I am all giggly ;)
Nix darlin.... count your blessings :D

I know, I've been up there. I'm heading over to scotland in sept. I'm bringing my long wool coat. They kinda have summer in the southern UK, but up north, man I swear it rains every day.
In the morning when I first get up it's about 11C inside before I put the heaters on.
A bit cool to be running around in boxer shorts but I jump in the shower pretty much straightaway.
Ooooh I would love to go to the UK on a tour someday ... Visit the relative homeland of Ireland :)
Take lots of pictures. ;)

I will. This'll be my 4th trip there. I've seen most of the north and south of england to this point, but not the midlands. From what I'm told, I'm not missin' much. But I'm taking my digital cam with me and my friend that I'm visiting there (one of em) is a hardcore camera junkie. He has almost as many cams as I have hair on my chest (I'm of italian descent) and he's always bugging me to take pics here in my neighborhood.
I keep telling him, "what the heck do i need pics of NYC for? I LIVE here!", but he doesn't seem to get it.
Italian you say :p Thats must be a lotta cams :D
My brother is married to an Italian so that sort of makes us related doesn't it? ;)
I know lots of italians who married Irish, including within my family. Their kids have a fine appreciation for the best food AND booze.
Same in my Family. We have do have great parties :D
There's nothing better than good food and good booze.... well maybe one other thing but I won't go there :D
Hmmmmm, lemme see what can she be referring to....can't be going to the dentist, no, no, that ain't it................not house cleaning, I HATE that.................AHA! I have it! 3 day weekends! Yep, that's gotta be it.
Oh JP you are so perceptive :D I do find that such an admirable quality :D
Thank you, thank you. I also fold for easy storage.
Holy flirtation, Batman!
I never flirt, I'm married to my work ;) Anyway I'm off to bed folks. Catch ya all tomorrow.
lmao Spooky ...... thanks a lot ya done scared him off now :D
It's getting about that time for me too... Night nite ... sleep tight
Catch y'all tomorrow :p
That's the trouble with you northereners come about 2.00pm AEST and you all start disappearing off to bed, this place becomes deserted.
Yep you're correct.Quote:

Liam
I don't doubt it. I was there 8 days. It rained 8 days.
Well coming from Manchester you hardly need to tell me about rain. but i have discovered, to my surprise, that the further north you go the weather doesn't always get worse. i go to Lancaster Uni and to me if feels like i live on the equator ;) . Just a pity that i end up spending my 'summers', and i use the world very cautiously, back in Manchester :( . but hey you become used to it. And it makes those holidays abroad seem that much more exotic.Quote:

If it hadn't of been for VDr and Crimson Blonde, Saratoga Springs would have meant nothing to me.
I never really knew that either until I had was watching a show on the food network one night ..... I always love hearing little facts about the area.
Saratoga has a lot of history ... a lot of battles were fought here in the revolutionary war. Movies have been filmed at the race track and surrounding city.
Sea Biscuit, Billy Bathgate, The Horse Whisperer, The Last of the Mohicans ~ Portions have all been filmed in this area.
Pretty cool when you think about it ... such a common thing like chips/crisps tie us all in together :p
Yes....I agree....I especially enjoyed that scene in The Last of The Mohicans where the Americans were enjoying a bag of potato chips while the British were enjoying a barrel of crisps...(Act 3, Scene Four... if you want to check....).Quote:

Mr. Bistro has a knack for doing that :D
Sorry for the late post....I guess I'm a bit slow. It is interesting to hear where you are all from, expecially you New Yorkers. I was born and raised in a little town called Chestertown,NY.(exit 25 on I-87) Well,I was born in Glens Falls Hospital, for those of you familiar with small towns. :) My family owned a tiny diner called "The Coffee Shop" and we served many a cup a coffee on those cold winter days you spoke of. My family still lives up there so I get home as often as I can. Sure is a small world, isn't it?
Hey Penguingirl,
,,,,small world is right....my uncle was a police officer in glen falls, many many years ago....who knows but he drank coffee there...:)
Although I doubt it because Chestertown was kind of out of the way, ya know? Glens Falls was where we went to shop and eat, buy cars, etc....but to come to Chestertown from Glens Falls.....you either had to be drunk or lost...LOL. ;)
aaah...I misread your post.....thought the 'coffee shop' was in glen falls
....anyway, 'tis a small world ...:)
Hiya Penguingirl!! I was born in GFH too!! :D
Amazing what a small world it is sometimes...
I have been through Warrensburg and Chestertown a few times ... been up through Pack Forest on drives ;) ..... especially around the October Garage Sale event! ;)
No.......it's a huge world...I have never been to Glen Falls....LOL :D
Well time to change that I think :D
