I have to keep my tetanus shots up to date, cause I'm on a volunteer fire dept.
Train, I have never had to pull a knife out like that. IT wasn't fun. My wife said she was lucky she didn't see the blood.....LOL
ANyways to keep this ON TOPIC here. Got my Floppy Ribbon today. It works great. That sucker was 32 inches long. Lord I could have just about sent one end to Train to hook to his puter......lol
Now I just have to get a new floppy drive. My HP case had the cover for the Drive on the case. With this new case it shows the bare metal front and looks horrible....

Mine was $10 with taxes. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
Be sure to tuck that out of the airflow path.

They do make 24" floppy cables...just gotta look for them (but even that is too long). And why, oh why, oh why they keep making them with that legacy 2nd connector is beyond me....
-
Is it just my imagination that it seems when bistro replies to a post, suddenly everyone goes silent? https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

I know mine is 32" and that is a little long. My old one was about an inch short. But it works, thats what counts.
The only longer ribbons I could find was Universal. That seemed a little on the stupid side myself.
Bistro, you just come in and post when everyone else is sleeping.....lol

must be...unless you have none! https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
I think you ought to design some short floppy cables without that idiotic twist.
-
The reason there is a silence is the awe we hold you in. This also gives us time to "figger" what in the world you're talking about. (really that was a bit much) https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ https://discussions.virtualdr.com/ https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

The new factory-rounded floppy cables don't have the twist (probably twisted inside the sleeve). Just saw these. Look a heck of a lot shorter.

Yeah...awe...like in "Awwwwwww, what in the *&^% is he talkin' about NOW????"...

I'll take 1 scoop each of chocolate and vanilla. I have the book already. It is on hardware also. Really racy - especially TDC and loose rockers. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/

If your talking about what I am talking about, then I have no idea what I'm talking about or what your talking about.... I'll shut up now.
Bistro, those cables are neat. I seen one in a store where I got my ribbon. It was to short to fit. But they are nice......

It is fixed without a hitch and came right up. My car not a computer. Hardware is hardware. Well, looks like a changeover will have to be made. Will do that tonight. https://discussions.virtualdr.com/
